I’ve come to the conclusion that exercise is what I’m missing. No pool for the winter. No swing built yet. No desire to walk up and down the road by myself and definitely no desire to join a gym.
I’m not lazy. No, really! I want exercise to be fun. I want to walk out my door and find a peaceful place to play and enjoy the playing.
That’s why I want a swing. I have yet to convince dear hubby to assist in the project of hanging one. We have two telephone poles in perfect position. They were cleared of the shed roof they supported when the roof collapsed. It was worn and old. Sorta like me!
Spring will be here soon. I must put that on the priority list.
Why a swing? It’s like simple knitting, Zen for the brain. It is a mild form of exercise, but certainly better than nothing. It doesn’t hurt as bad as bad as other activities. That’s one of the reasons I love the pool. There’s this muscular/skeletal thing that causes me pain all the time….I can take the edge off it, but it never truly goes away…except under anesthesia…whoa….good drugs
Swinging (kinky, huh!) is good year round…brings out my inner kid…makes me laugh.
And it’s like play…My daughter’s license plate is ‘PLAY’. She’s a play therapist. I like to play. I love to laugh. The laugh-so-hard-you-cry kind of laugh….
Think I’ll go get my crayons and coloring books…no…my jacks …hope I can keep my rubber ball out of a dog’s mouth. Or the cat’s for that matter. Either way it would turn slimy and be yucky to bounce.
Perhaps I’ll get past sixies today. That would qualify for a big wooooooowhooooo!
