I love the title of this Harry Chapin album. Verities and Balderdash pretty much sums up my life. We humans have so many ups and downs. Living with a sense of humor certainly makes it all more interesting and fun.
Speaking of fun. My daughter and I visited a local flea market a few months ago.
And found this!
Oh, I wanted to take him home! He laid his head on my shoulder and I could feel the love. His owners told me that he followed them around, snuggled up to watch TV. I was enthralled by the little fellow. His little hooves painted and the bow tie had nothing to do with it.
Alas, I had to leave him behind. The 5 critters I harbor might not have understood.
Occasionally my critters irritate the heck outta me. Truly, they are my best buds. I love their little warm bodies, their kisses and playful nips.
I love their loyalty and the interaction they have with one another. I love the that they are snuggle bunnies . Even when 60 pound, needy, Molly climbs into my lap, I cherish them. The unconditional love they give is a gift.
I still miss my Chico.
Chico Chi Chihuahua. He loved his frog. And in his honor I have a fairy frog tattooed on my arm. Geez, I’m such a sucker.
That is Southern for ‘my arm’.
Today has been a learning experience for sure. I finally figured out how to crop the photos when I got to the frog! Yah me! Slow learner. Work with me please.
